recently Charlotte asked me to produce animatics for my storyboards, at first I was a bit unsure because I had forgotten how to use premiere but once i got back into it i discovered it was kind of like riding a bike and i hadnt forgotten at all :) I also used sound and found the sound effects and music I wanted on a royalty free website http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/pir/PIRsfx.shtml it has a wide variaty for free and is really simple to use :)

DeAtHnOtE
Deathnote is an anime which i am obsessed with, there are 37 episodes spread over two series and im currently on episode 6 of series 2, its really really good, and is soo gripping. the episodes ALWAYS end on a cliff hanger which is irritating but a good way to keep you watching, they are based on graphic novels and there are also two live action movies mixed with CGI out now which i saw a few weeks ago and they are amazing ;)

had our other pitch with james yesterday and we were all very happy that he really liked our storyboards and genrell ideas.
i was especially chuffed as he seemed to really like my idea on how to improve the 'Royale Meal' design :) i had to redraft my story boards but seeing as i enjoy doing them i didnt mind and i suppose its more work for my portifolio at the end of the day. I kind of wish the grouos were are assigned to now are the groups that we will be staying in because i would really like to see this project through. although actuall animating isnt really my strong point, i prefer pre and post production to be honest! :D

been working on our final project recently and im really enjoying it, i like doing storyboarding an coming up with ideas so im in my element, charlottes a very good producer, shes very organised and is always making sure the team fully understands whats going on and what we should be doing, :D

MAYA
hmmm... maya. i think i might be changing my mind slightly on this programme... but i have found the flour sack and creating the moving ball task quite enjoyable and very informative. the more i use maya the more i feel comfortable and i actually find it easier animating in maya than in flash which i never thought i would say, i think i will attempt to complete the online tutorials so i feel more confident but i am very pleased with my flour sack attempt because when we were set the task i was filled with dread.. but it wasnt that bad :) and i actually feel like ive achieved something which is always good :D

Ident Project
The OSTN company in America asked us if we would make some idents for their television show.
I worked with Holly and we decided to take on the film ident, we came up with an idea to create a cinema were pieces of popcorn would be the main characters.
we created a 3d background using card board and plastecine and then photographed it, we then used flash to animate our popcorn and the cinema screen.
the project went really well and our animatics and final animation are very similer.
we didnt really have any problems which was good, and i really enjoyed using flash again, i think my favourite part of the work process was creating the 3d characters which were in our cinema!
overall im very pleased with the result and i think holly and myself worked well together and maganed our time well.

Bits of everything!!
Havnt been on here for a while... :) neways, loads has been going on, we have had to make tv grapics for the broadcasting students 'live at 5', I was made the producer of my my team which included Mike Ceri and Sean, We came up with an idea to drop blue ink inot water after seeing it lots of examples of work on the internet, we used a macro camara and made a mini set and began filming the ink which in the turned out better than any of us thought,
At first we were told that we were the first team and that we only had two days to complete everything so we were very stressed and we all worked really hard trying to get our heads around after effects (which i still dont really understand!) eventually we were tiold that we wernt the first griup and we were all a little annoyed but relieved.
Yesterday weas when we actually had to do live at 5 and it went ok, i was getting very annoyed at the producer of the broadcasting students because she only came in once and didnt actually seem bothered about anything, all other members of her team were coming in constantly telling us what they needed and by when they needed it.
The broadcast went ok, I was annoyed that they mucked up our title sequence and the fact they brought some of our tables ie.sports and weather far to late so they just looked blank making it reflect badly on us! all in all i enjoyed working ina team but i hated the lack of effort from some of the broadcasters, I dont think i would like to get into this area of work anymore, its difficult stressful and not very rewarding!
